Studio Ghibli FilmFest & Bentos - Spirited Away

We're excited to bring you our Second Annual Studio Ghibli Film Festival!

Join us for this fun-filled Japanese cultural immersion experience as we once again partner with our neighbor, Tara Theatre, with two special showings of Spirited Away along with delicious and traditional Bento Boxes on Sunday, July 6th and Tuesday, July 8th. 

Spirited Away is one of the most beloved movies by noted Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki. 10-year-old Chihiro stumbles upon a seemingly abandoned amusement park. Chihiro meets the mysterious Haku (Miyu Irino), who explains that the park is a resort for supernatural beings who need a break from their time spent in the earthly realm. It's a dazzling, enchanting, and gorgeously drawn fairy tale that will leave viewers a little more curious and fascinated by the world around them.

Nakato will be creating traditional Bento Boxes filled with a variety of Japanese favorites and bringing them directly to The Tara for guests to enjoy, while watching this award-winning film.
